Where Growth Takes Root: VO at IBC2026

Written by Guillaume Debeneix | Thu, Jul 23, 2026

At this year's IBC, we will be showcasing how sustainable business growth starts with the right foundations. Here's what we will be showcasing on Stand 1.A51.

One of the constant pressures in the TV and streaming industry is that all organizations are being asked to do more with less. Operations need simplifying, premium content and revenue need protecting, and the viewing experience needs to be compelling enough to maintain audiences in the face of increasing competition from all sides. Needless to say, all this work also has to be undertaken without costs creeping up.

There is no magic bullet for this. While trade shows such as IBC have an understandable focus on new products and future-facing innovation, our experience shows that growth doesn’t come from any single piece of technology. Rather, it comes from having the right foundations in place to begin with. That means operations that are secure and efficient, the ability to offer experiences that keep people watching, and new ways to increase monetization, all underpinned by the multiple benefits of working with a partner you can rely on now and for the long-term.

We've spent over two decades helping customers around the world work through exactly the challenges the industry currently faces, drawing on a broad portfolio of solutions and a vast amount of accumulated industry knowledge. At IBC2026, we're bringing that experience to life under the theme "Where Growth Takes Root," showing visitors to Stand 1.A51 in Hall 1 how the right technology and expertise can help TV and video businesses evolve and grow.

We'll be showing how operators and service providers can strengthen their core operations, open up new revenue, improve the user experience, and move their services forward. It’s about applied innovation, rather than simply innovation for innovation’s sake. As a result the demos cover five areas that are critical to the successful running of a modern TV service: operations and monetization, video playback performance, content protection and anti-piracy, interactive viewing and discovery, and flexible apps and UI.

"As media businesses navigate accelerating change, technology stability and partner reliability matter more than ever," says Stephan Nicolas, our Chief Commercial Officer. "Our long-standing customer relationships, recently reinforced by several multi-year contract renewals, reflect the trust customers place in VO. At IBC2026, we will show how our strong, scalable foundations translate into long-term business growth for our customers."

What we're showing on Stand 1.A51

Our demos this year cover the full TV service lifecycle, from backend operations and monetization through to applications, content discovery, playback, and security. If you're launching a new service, you'll see a connected architecture built to get you to market faster. If you're running a more mature deployment, you'll see how to upgrade specific parts of your stack without ripping out the whole platform with all the disruption and expense that can cause.

Operations & monetization: We will be highlighting our Service Delivery Platform, which is backed by the AI-driven Console Management Agent and Self-Service Portal. Both are carefully aimed at cutting the operational overhead of running and scaling a TV service. We'll also be demonstrating our Targeted TV Advertising solution, built to help operators turn existing infrastructure and audience insights into a real, scalable revenue stream as the appeal of ad-supported streaming services in the market keeps growing.

Video playback performance: We will be showing the VO Secure Video Player with its full set of supporting features: QoX monitoring, Smart TV Fragmentation Compatibility, and CDN Overload Prediction. Taken together, they show how operators can keep playback consistent across a fragmented device landscape, even when demand spikes.

Content protection & anti-piracy: Leveraging our impressive heritage of content security measures, we will be showcasing our Anti-Piracy Center, Dynamic Watermarking, and Multi-DRM & CAS solutions. These represent the latest steps in our long track record of helping customers protect premium content and defend revenue as piracy tactics keep changing.

Interactive viewing & discovery: Surfacing the right content for the right viewer at the right time is critical for ensuring a successful library. We will be demonstrating personalized content discovery and recommendations on the show floor, built to help viewers find their way through ever-growing content libraries and find something to watch quickly without leaving for other services. Our solution combines intelligent discovery with tailored suggestions for a more engaging viewing experience whatever the audience’s viewing preferences.

Flexible apps & UI: Being able to adapt to changing circumstances and take advantage of market opportunities requires agility across the business, and never more so than in the UI. We will present how our Multi-Screen TV Apps, alongside our No-Code App Design tool, give operators a faster way to update and adapt their TV applications without needing an engineering-heavy release cycle every time.

Joint demos across the show floor: Lastly, we will be running joint demos with select ecosystem partners across the RAI, showing integrated approaches to all the key components of a complete streaming workflow, from service deployment to content delivery, protection, personalization, and monetization. These demos are an excellent reminder that we work across the broader technology environment that you find on the ground in the modern broadcast or streaming operation, and that our solutions are built around what customers actually need day to day.
