As a data engineer, focused on AI innovation your main functions & responsibilities will be: • Direct report to VO’s Head of AI • in support of AI / Data science research: analyze and organize raw data, build data systems and pipelines, prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling, enhance data quality, reliability and visualization • Work on a day-to-day basis with data scientists and architects to build algorithms, and bring them from prototype stage to operation stage • Interact with Chief Data Officer’s team to implement VO data governance and technology frameworks • Be at the forefront of state-of-the-art cloud tool and service adoption to help seize opportunities with emerging technologies incl. in the field of Generative AI (e.g. ChatGPT) • Realize demos & prototypes when needed, including for tradeshows or customer engagements
Skills: • At least 2y of experience in SW development as a data engineer or data scientist • Proven experience in Python, java • SQL experience is a plus • Proven experience with understanding and implementing data models, data mining and segmentation techniques • Significant experience with leading cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) • Hands-on, close to the code • Autonomous worker, willing to take ownership and lead • Strong collaboration & communication/presentation skills • Ability to work in a multi-national organization with remote teams • Degree in computer science – IT or similar • Curious and creative mind, passionate about technology • Fluent English is a must (verbal + written)
