Software Engineer - Data Scientist

Israel

Viaccess-Orca, a global, dynamic high-tech company and a subsidiary of the Orange Group is looking for a data scientist to join our innovation team and help us derive valuable insights from billions of consumer events and petabytes of multimedia data from multiple sources.

You will develop systems for analysis, evaluating and processing vast amounts of data, using data science and machine learning techniques.

This position is for a “hands-on” type of person that will be a part of major think-tanks and innovation development in the company.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of programming experience in Python, SQL, Scala.
  • Experience with Large datasets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop, Spark).

Advantages:

  • Experience with Machine learning techniques (classification, regressions, feature selection etc.)
  • Experience with statistical tools or packages (R / RapidMiner / Scikit)
  • Experience in Tensorflow.

Education

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • MSc- an advantage.
