Orange Slovensko is a mobile operator, however now also offering fibre connections, operating in Slovakia since 15 January 1997 (previously named Globtel), when it became the first mobile operator in Slovakia to operate the GSM digital mobile network.
Since 27 March 2002, the operator has been providing services under the Orange brand name and from this date the company's business name is Orange Slovensko, a.s.
The company operates a countrywide network covering 99% of the population and 2,830,000 active customers and is by far the most successful telecommunications company in Slovakia.
