We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager with strong outbound skills to join our team and help drive the growth of our product portfolio.
Job Summary: Viaccess-Orca is seeking a dedicated Product Manager to lead our inbound efforts, enhancing our product offerings through cross-product initiatives, documentation tools enhancement, performance optimization, seamless integration with vendors, and owning the technical roadmap. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and close collaboration with delivery and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Guide the technical roadmap to keep our products competitive in the TV service delivery landscape. Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize features and define product requirements.
- Cross-Product Initiatives: Spearhead projects across different products to improve documentation, enhance performance, and ensure seamless integration with vendors, illustrating examples of previous successful initiatives if applicable.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, customer support, other product managers, and external partners to align product strategies with company goals and customer needs.
- Market Insight: Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, translating these insights into actionable product strategies.
Key Activities and Contributions:
- Conduct in-depth user research to understand pain points, behaviors, and preferences.
- Translate user insights into actionable product requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and enhancements.
- Lead the UI/UX work to introduce new UI Console for the Service Delivery Platform while collaborating closely with design and development teams.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including executives, development teams, and customer support.
- Communicate product updates, progress, and challenges effectively.
- Hands-on epic writing in Jira: collaborate with other product managers in the product team to add new features to the products..
- Understand backend technologies, APIs, databases, and system architecture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in a B2B company. preferably in video delivery or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong technical background in cloud and on-prem services delivery platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- UI/UX Passion – understanding of usability principles and best practices.
- Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of video delivery technologies and standards (e.g. HLS, DASH, etc.) - Advantage.
